MEXICO COETEPEC COFFEE
Coffee is not a stranger to any home. Guests are often offered coffee, matched with coffee cake and served on the coffee table. This beverage is a real celebrity; wherever it goes people simply patronize it. Because of this noble bean, businesses have made profits and lots of people have benefited with jobs. We are all familiar with coffee shops, which has mushroomed all over the world just like the popular fast food chains. But before coffee shop chains come to being, coffee plantations must come first. Coffee plantations started in the late 1700’s in Mexico. There are five popular names of Mexican coffees and these are: Tapachula, Oaxaca, Pluma, Chiapas and the most popular of them all is the Coatepec.

Mexican Coatepec coffee is famous for its mild acidity and balance, and light bodied and nutty with chocolate overtones. Coatepec coffee is produced by small Mexican farmers who practice the traditional organic farming. Most of the coffees that stand out in a region are usually grown the organic way. Organic growing of coffee simply means that only natural fertilizers and no man made pesticides and insecticides are introduced in the crop.

There are at least three most important factors that affect the quality of coffee. First is the altitude, coffee beans which are harvested on higher altitude are often found to be best than those that are grown in lower altitudes. Second is the climate, coffee beans that are blessed with natural canopies, the tall trees or natural clouding of the area, achieve better and even ripening. This is best for coffee. These are usually forest areas and reserves. The tall trees also offer good control of soil temperature. And third is the fertile soil. Coffee grown on rich volcanic soil is blessed with distinct taste but is still very much unique from each region. Mexican coffee is classified by the altitude the coffee was grown.

Mexico is now a proud producer of about five million bags of coffee annually. Mexican Coatepec coffee is popularly known for its uncomplicated taste, this coffee is great as a morning coffee. Coatepec coffee is also best as a base blend to tame the strong full bodied beans. When you visit Mexico, no matter what the the climate may be, coffee will be served to you the way you like it. A taste of Mexican Coatepec coffee can make you change your description of the best tasting coffee.
