BRAZIL BAGGIO PLATINUM COFFEE From the time of its discovery in Ethiopia around 600 AD, coffee has continued to be a part of the breakfast table. You would find a number of coffee shops around business districts and shopping malls. They serve different coffee blends and gourmet coffee, each with its distinctive taste and aroma. No less than martial arts super star, Jacky Chan believed in the business potential of coffee. He was quoted saying, “There are few things in the world that has no limit like my movies, music, suits and coffee”. He believes that coffee is universal and transcends culture. Brazil is proud to be the largest producer of coffee wherein it shares approximately 35% to the world’s supply. There are two types of coffee, the Arabica and the Robusta coffee. Brazil produces 80% Arabica coffee. Brazil “Baggio” coffee has the finest quality of Arabica. Baggio coffee was named after the owner Jose Astor Baggio. He was originally from Italy but migrated to Brazil and became the owner of the coffee plantation in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The location of the plantation is just perfect for growing world class coffee, located at an altitude of about 3,000 feet above sea level. This family owned coffee plantation produces both the Baggio Gourmet Platinum and Premium Gold Brazilian coffee. Brazil Baggio’s Platinum coffee is known for its mild smooth flavor, complex intense aroma, rich medium body with a just the right spicy and sweet taste. This coffee from Brazil is medium roasted to produce an ultra premium coffee; one would enjoy dinking mug after mug. Brazil has the appropriate dry and wet weather to successfully grow perfect coffee beans. Coffee from Brazil is a product of the labor of experienced farmers who hand pick the ripe cherry red beans in the right season. These beans are then washed under natural spring water and spread in thin layers under the sun for drying. Once it has achieved the desired dryness, the coffee from Brazil is packed for shipment. Naturally drying these red cherries keeps them in contact with the sweet mucilage which would later produce sweet, smooth and complex heavy bodied South American coffee beans. Hand picked, spring washed and sun dried, are the natural processes this gourmet coffee, Brazil "Baggio" Platinum, undergoes. The coffee produced in the estate of Baggio’s maintains the family tradition of producing only the best gourmet coffee beans. Italy is the biggest importer of Baggio’s Platinum coffee, and for decades this Brazilian coffee has been appreciated by espresso lovers of Italy and the rest of world. |
